South Florida graduate transfer Geno Thorpe committed to Syracuse on Friday afternoon, according to multiple reports.
The 6-foot-4 guard visited SU Thursday before committing a day later. He chose the Orange over Pittsburgh and Seton Hall.
Thorpe, who is eligible to play immediately, averaged 15.1 points and 4.6 assists for USF last season. He was the leading scorer in the Bulls offense that finished the year 7-23. Syracuse will be Thorpe’s third school after Penn State and South Florida. With the Nittany Lions, Thorpe played 18.3 minutes per game over 66 games.
