Motorcycle accident sends two to the hospital in Bristol

On Sunday around 5:32 pm deputies in Ontario County responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries on State Route 21 in South Bristol.

Investigation found that James E. Castle, 39, of Victor was backing from a parking space just south of Sawmill Restaurant in the Town of South Bristol, when James P. Kenney, 56, of Farmington was traveling north on State Route 21 when he swerved to avoid the vehicle.

He subsequently crashed his motorcycle ejecting himself and his passenger.

Both were taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital for an array of injuries including a dislocated or broken shoulder, abrasions, and road rash.

Castle was issued a traffic ticket for backing unsafely.

Naples Fire Department and Ambulance both responded to the scene, according to deputies.
