After two public input meetings and four weeks of “working day and night,” the city of Auburn submitted its application for a $10 million state downtown revitalization grant Wednesday.
Coinciding with a presentation to the Auburn City Council Thursday evening, the city’s application for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative is now available for residents to view online at auburnny.gov.
The city is calling its application the Downtown Riverfront Initiative, a play off the grant’s initials.
“This is a very aggressive, well-thought-out plan,” Mayor Michael Quill said. “Cross your fingers, cross your toes that Auburn gets selected.”
