Wayne County man’s catch could be new state record

A Macedon man has landed the catch of a lifetime.

Jason Bair caught this freshwater drum, commonly called a sheepshead, on Oneida Lake. It weighed in at more than 36 lbs., which shatters the current record of 29 lbs. 14 oz. listed on the New York State DEC website.

Of course Bair’s fish still has to be verified as a record by the DEC.
