Arguments rescheduled in Waterloo Container suit

Oral arguments in Waterloo Container Company’s Article 78 lawsuit against the town of Seneca Falls have been rescheduled.

The new date is 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, in State Supreme Court for Seneca County before Acting Supreme Court Judge William Kocher of Ontario County.

The courthouse is at 48 W. William St.

The original date for arguments was June 27, but that was postponed at the request of the lawyer for the town.

The Route 414 glass bottle distribution company, which is across from Seneca Meadows Landfill, is seeking to nullify the Town Board’s May 5 vote in favor of Local Law 2 of 2017.

That local law rescinds Local Law 3 of 2016, which would have required the landfill to close by Dec. 31, 2025.
