As a Laotian growing up in France, Patrick Hatsady grew up eating and cooking food from both cultures. Now, he is bringing those two styles together for his new restaurant on the Ithaca Commons.
Le Commons Bistro, which opened on June 22, received a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday as Mayor Svante Myrick and members of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance welcomed Hatsady to the location between Gorgers Taco Shack and Autumn Leaves Used Books.
“Patrick is the most interesting man in Ithaca,” Myrick said. “He extending his energy and his passion and his interest here in the heart of the city means quite a lot to us.
