Friday will bring a chance of rain.
But don’t worry — it won’t be a washout. Not even close to it.
Showers and pop up thunderstorms are possible, according to forecasters. FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil says that the most-significant activity should be limited to the afternoon and evening hours on Friday.
He says that while there is a slight risk of a couple storms getting stronger, it remains unlikely that any major outbreaks or events shape up in the Finger Lakes today. Some of those showers will linger into the morning hours on Saturday, before giving way to one of the best weather weekends the region has seen all year.
Sun and temperatures in the upper 70s will dominate the week. While it won’t feel like the dog days of summer, as the thermometer stays below 80 degrees, there will be plenty of upside to the weather pattern. Things will dry out, as the humidity escapes — and that will mean virtually no chance of rain after early Saturday morning.
