Canoga firehouse plans up for review

The Canoga Fire Department in Fayette will have its plans to build a new firehouse reviewed by the Seneca County Planning Board Thursday.

The Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Heroes Conference Room in the County Office Building, 1 DiPronio Drive.

The board will conduct a site plan review for the new firehouse. The department wants to demolish the existing firehouse at 3576 Route 89 and build the new one to the rear of the current footprint.

Now if any fire dept. in the area should dissolve it should be this place. They get 10 fire calls yearly and maybe some medical calls. Let Seneca Falls and Fayette take over the small district. Instead they’ll build a brand new fire department. Doesn’t make sense.
