The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Williamson man following a length investigation into a larceny that took place last year.
Deputies say Joshua A. Pellett, currently an inmate at the Wayne County Jail was charged with one count of second-degree burglary, as well as fourth-degree grand larceny.
Pellett allegedly entered a Williamson resident in September and stole a safe, which contained $1,700 cash and numerous antique coins, jewelry and trinkets.
The safe was later recovered minus the cash.
Pellett was arraigned on the charges in Williamson Town Court before Justice Barry VanNostrand and was remanded back to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.
He will answer the charges in Williamson Town Court.
