“The festival has been bringing world-class musicians to Canandaigua for over a decade and this year is no exception,” said violinist Kevin Kumar, festival co-artistic director. “Ieva Jokubaviciute is sought after and has performed at some of the finest international music festivals, including Marlboro, Ravinia, Bard, Caramoor, Chesapeake Chamber Music, Four Seasons and Prussia Cove in England.”
Launched in 2005, Canandaigua LakeMusic Festival is centered on four chamber concerts over two weekends: July 14 and 16 and July 21 and 23. It includes community concerts at FLCC along with “Classical Blue Jeans,” a barbecue concert at 6 p.m. July 19 at Bristol Harbour Resort, 5410 Seneca Point Road, Canandaigua.
In addition to Jokubaviciute, Canandaigua LakeMusic Festival’s lineup will include a performance by Avalon String Quartet and other musicians.
