Seneca Meadows, Inc., recently hosted the Waste Connections Hudson Valley Division annual Heavy Equipment Rodeo. Eleven employees throughout the division spent several hours competing through a series of challenges operating heavy equipment, which included an obstacle course, timed loading and dozer tasks, and other skill set tasks needed to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Family, friends and co-workers cheered the “competitors” and gathered for a cookout and fun throughout the afternoon competition. As the employees earned points the final tally put Seneca Meadows employee and local resident Bob Brunskill on top, and the winner of the division, which will send him and his family to Tennessee for a regional competition among other division winners.
“Seneca Meadows is a great place to work.” offered district manager Kyle Black “The Waste Connections heavy equipment rodeo is a great team building event for our employees to take extra pride in their work, and share with their friends and families the skills needed to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.”
Local residents can get a first hand look at the heavy equipment at the upcoming Seneca Meadows open house on July 30th.
