On Tuesday night, a plan for additional dock slips that would serve the stalled Canandaigua Finger Lakes Resort was nixed.
But the city and developers of the $54 million project will provide help and guidance on seeking grant money to help get the project back on track.
One of a series of questions from an unnamed potential lender asked about the city’s role and guidance in submitting grant requests for various types of funds available for economic development, according to Mayor Ellen Polimeni.
The city is considering submitting a grant application for a Community Development Block Grant through the New York State Office of Community Renewal for up to $750,000 for economic development, according to City Manager John Goodwin.
City Council on Thursday night is expected to set a public hearing for Aug. 3.
