Finally, the Finger Lakes is going to get a break from the ongoing, active, wet weather that has made headlines over the last two days with storm damage, flooding, and even a couple tornado-warned cells.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy. There is the outside risk of a scattered shower, but it won’t be a washout by any stretch.
Conditions will tend to improve over the next 24 hours. Wednesday looks like the best weather day of the remaining week, as temperatures will push into the upper-70s. That’ll be about 10 degrees warmer than temperatures will get on Tuesday, which will mean the air will have a distinct fall feel throughout the day.
Thursday looks like the region’s next opportunity for active weather.
A Lakeshore Flood Warning remains active for Northern Cayuga, Wayne, and Monroe counties along Lake Ontario. The recent rains and a breeze out of the north are putting concerns on already-flooded properties.
