Investigators: Beaver Dams woman submitted benefits app with false information

A Beaver Dams woman was arrested after an investigation between the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office and Schuyler County Department of Social Services.

Angela S. Nemeth, 52, of Beaver Dams was arrested on Tuesday and charged with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, and fifth-degree welfare fraud.

Authorities say she submitted an application containing false information to the Schuyler County Department of Social Services and thereby received benefits that she was not entitled to.

Nemeth was issued an appearance ticket and will be answering the charges in the Village of Montour Falls Court at a later date.
