Canandaigua schools are busting with pride, and it shows on their new website launched Aug. 1.
“When you look at it now, you see pride,” said Canandaigua City Schools Superintendent Jamie Far. “You see the excitement around learning. You see the focus on children. We’re trying to highlight all the positives that Canandaigua has to offer.”
To illustrate that pride and the importance of the school district’s interaction in the community, there are lots of pictures featuring smiling teachers and children, victorious sports teams, the Canandaigua Academy Marching Band, Kershaw Park and boathouses along the city pier.
The new site is also designed from the perspective of the viewer to make it easier to navigate and find district information, Farr said, noting a lot of times people using the website may be moving to the area and trying to decide what school district may be best for their families.
