MRB Group President Ryan Colvin announced that Harrison Schutzer has joined the engineering and architecture firm to support its growing Rochester office.
“We’re fortunate Harrison chose to work at MRB Group,” said Colvin, who says Schutzer’s new role will provide a beneficial resource for the firm’s many client-communities, currently numbering more than 120 across New York State.
With a principal focus on municipal services, MRB Group provides local governments with professional engineering support for day-to-day operations like water and wastewater treatment, and public works services. Its design team also helps local governments maintain or rehabilitate public assets like courts, municipal offices, and highway facilities. The firm has served the greater Rochester and Central New York areas for 90 years.
A public policy and political science major from Hobart College, Schutzer has worked as Deputy Communications Director and Legislative Aide to members of the New York State Senate, most recently assisting Senator Simcha Felder in serving constituents of the 17th Senatorial District. According to Colvin, Schutzer’s greatest strength is his ability to quickly identify issues and resolve problems for constituents.
“Engineering, architecture, and all the various municipal services MRB Group provides require interaction with the State at many levels,” Colvin said. “Whether our clients need help expediting regulatory approvals or seeking out grants and funding opportunities, we’ve built a professional staff with tremendous experience in dealing directly with the agencies and resources that count,” he continued. “Harrison’s strong background in constituent services and government administration will be extremely beneficial in supporting the MRB Group team as we advocate for clients.”
“I look forward to working with the professional staff at MRB Group,” said Schutzer. He joined the Business Development Team in Rochester and works directly with clients to support municipal services provided by the firm. “It has been my pleasure to work with local government officials who work hard to serve their communities in an effort to make a difference. I look forward to continuing to support those efforts as part of the MRB Group team,” he stated.
