Seneca Falls official, landfill employee verbally threatened; man faces felony charge

On Friday around 1:37 pm members of the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Seneca Falls resident on a felony charge following an incident on June 8th, 2017.

Police say John C. Garee, 69, of Seneca Falls was charged with making a terroristic threat – a Class D felony, after calling a New York State government office, making a verbal threat toward a member of the Seneca Falls Town Board, as well as an individual from Seneca Meadows.

Garee was arrested on an arrest warrant and arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court. He was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.

A felony hearing was scheduled for August 15th at 2:30 pm, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

Two orders of protection were issued as result of the charges.
