Finger Lakes sees cooler-than-normal temps this week

The unofficial end of summer has passed. This week, kids will go back to school, temperatures will feel like fall — and the risk of rain exists almost every day.

A cold front that moved through overnight will leave temperatures struggling to reach the 70 degree mark. The scattered showers should be moved out of the area by 1 pm, according to the National Weather Service.

The afternoon will be spent drying out, and mostly cloudy skies will persist throughout the remainder of the day.

The trend will be temperatures in the mid- to upper-60s throughout the week, with a risk for showers each day.
