The Village of Trumansburg has historically had its fair share, but with the recent opening and instantaneous popularity of the Black Diamond Trail, there seem to be more now than in anyone’s recollection.
John Compton, owner of the new Main Street Bike Shop, at 27 W. Main St. in Trumansburg, couldn’t be more delighted. Compton, 45, who grew up in Hector on the periphery of the Finger Lakes National Forest, has a history with cycling that began during his years as a student at Watkins Glen High School. His proprietorship of a bike shop was somewhat a natural progression.
