Two vie for Victor town clerk nomination

Two candidates for Victor town clerk will face off in the Republican primary Sept. 12.

The Victor Republican Committee has interviewed both Laura Herbert and Karen Bodine, according to Committee Chair David Sanford.

Herbert has served in law enforcement for 20 years, and for the last 11 she’s been stationed at Eastview Mall, and at Victor Town Court.

“In my career I have handled a variety of situations that have required patience, understanding and defusing difficult disputes,” said Herbert. “Given this wealth of public service experience, I feel I would make a great candidate for Town Clerk, and am excited to bring my experience, integrity and a strong work ethic to the Town Clerk position.”

Herbert also has 12 years of real estate sales experience, and has gained leadership skills through several supervisory positions.
