An Auburn woman pushed an entire shopping cart of items past sales staff in Walmart, attempting to steal about $1,300 worth of merchandise, said the Auburn Police Department.
Melissa M. Boehmer, of 67 Wall St., was arrested around 6 p.m. Wednesday after Walmart employees stopped her. The 28-year-old had “a little bit of everything,” in her shopping cart, said Police Chief Shawn Butler, from household items to clothing.
The store scanned the merchandise following the arrest to document the number of items stolen and how much they cost. Butler said Boehmer stole 152 separate items costing about $1,300 in total.
