A new concession stand will be dedicated Saturday at Victor Central Schools, next to the varsity soccer and lacrosse field on the north end of campus.
School officials and members of the Victor Chamber of Commerce will gather at 2:30 p.m. for a ribbon-cutting of the new brick building, built through a community effort involving the DiMarco Group, other local contractors, suppliers and supporters.
The ceremony is timed to happen between the 1 p.m. boys’ varsity soccer game and 3 p.m. girls’ varsity soccer game.
“Each year, thousands of girls and boys soccer and lacrosse players and fans come to our athletic fields for both school and community teams,” said Mike Vistocco, VCS business administrator. “The new concession stand is a win-win for everyone. It will serve all of our constituents well.”
Vistocco began looking into the idea of a new concession stand when it became clear the old facility, known as the “Chuck Wagon,” was no longer meeting the needs of players and fans.
