It’s up the hill from the trendy and often pricey restaurants and nightclubs of the much-celebrated Linden Street area.
It has a vacant lot on one side of the Main Street restaurant, a drugstore parking lot on the other.
However, the lack of column inches and airtime hasn’t affected Beef & Brew, which has developed into one of downtown Geneva’s true success stories. It offers comfort food from the other side of the Atlantic, as well as American favorites, and a large array of local wines and beer. Lots of beer.
Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director and Vice President Miranda Odell noted that she was talking with Beef & Brew co-owner Mike Colvin at a chamber mixer last month about the Geneva restaurant scene — and how that success is hardly centered on one street.
“So many local businesses are thriving, especially restaurants, and that it’s not just on Linden — it’s all over Geneva,” Odell said.
