The Dryden Police Department has arrested a Vermont woman in connection with an attempted armed robbery committed nearly three years ago.
Alayna L. Emery, 32, of Washington, Vt., was arrested for attempted armed robbery in the second degree on Monday following a series of events starting with matching Emery’s DNA from an arrest in Vermont to the case in the Village of Dryden.
At 1:08 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2015, Dryden Police responded to the Golden Chinese Restaurant for a report of an armed robbery. The business owner reported a petite female entered the restaurant wearing a red scarf over her face, stated she had a gun, then displayed a knife and attempted to open the cash register without success. The owner chased the female out of the store and down the street, where she stopped and threatened him with the knife.
