Police: Sodus man had .25 BAC when he flipped ATV

Deputies in Wayne County arrested a Sodus man after toxicology reports showed he was drunk and above three times the legal limit.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies said on July 29, they were called to St. Rt. 14 in Sodus Point for a reported crash.

Responding deputies found 48-year-old James Jeffery Jr., was driving a Polaris utility vehicle on the road, lost control and flipped the vehicle.

Toxicology reports confirmed Jeffery was drunk with a BAC of 0.25 percent. Jeffery had two previous DWI convictions within the last five years.

Jeffery was charged with felony DWi, felony aggravated DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation 1st, operating out of ignition interlock restriction, unlicensed operator, failure to keep right, uninspected motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance, and no seat belt.
