Canandaigua man charged with stalking after Eastview Mall incident

On November 3rd at approximately 10:17 am deputies were called to Eastview Mall for a suspicious condition complaint.

Upon arrival it was determined that Darryl Bowman, 26, of Canandaigua had traveled to the mall after having been involved in a domestic dispute with a young woman earlier in the morning. He went to her place of employment, demanding to see her.

The store manager advised Bowman to leave immediately, according to deputies, which resulted in him making threats toward that manager. He made additional threats of self-harm, as well as harm toward the woman who he was seeking at her employer.

He refused to leave until 911 was called. Bowman then fled the area, which resulted in a search. Deputies say Bowman was found in a wooded area northeast of the mall.

Bowman was transported to Newark Wayne Hospital for medical treatment and was released. He was arraigned on a fourth-degree stalking charge, and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
