Ithaca wins 59th Cortaca Jug football game

The Ithaca College football team defeated SUNY Cortland 48–20 Nov. 11 at Butterfield Stadium in the 59th Cortaca Jug game. This is the Bombers’ first win over Cortland since Nov. 14, 2009, when they beat the Red Dragons 23–20.

The Bombers got off to an incredibly quick start, scoring just one minute and 17 seconds into the game when, on the fourth play of the drive, freshman quarterback Wahid Nabi connected with sophomore wide receiver Will Gladney for a 27–yard touchdown, the first of Nabi’s six passing touchdowns in the game. No Ithaca College quarterback has ever thrown for six touchdowns in a single game.
