Man flees police in Bloomfield, but car runs out of gas

Deputies say a 37-year-old Arkport man was taken into custody after he fled authorities in Ontario County.

Thomas C. Davis, 37, of Arkport was charged with resisting arrest and third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer after he failed to comply with a marked police vehicle on Route 444.

Deputies say he was traveling south in the Town of East Bloomfield, and was later apprehended on Doran Road in Lima when the vehicle he was fleeing in ran out of gas.

He was held for morning arraignment and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless driving, as well as the aforementioned charges.

Deputies say the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police assisted at the scene.
