The Yates County Chamber of Commerce announced Nov. 28 that Jessica Bacher of Penn Yan has been named the new President and CEO of the Chamber. Bacher will take over the position Monday, Dec. 4.
“I am honored and humbled to have been selected to lead as President and CEO. The Yates County Chamber of Commerce is vital to our community. We play a fundamental role in providing services to our membership while serving as a leader to collaborate on key challenges for our county, local businesses, and tourism,” commented Bacher, adding, “I am looking forward to working closely with our board, team members, and volunteers of this wonderful organization. I am confident that we will continue to help shape a positive future for our community. ”
Kathy Waye, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors commented, “I would like to thank the search committee for their diligence and hard work in choosing a new President/CEO who will lead our Chamber into the future. Jessica’s prior work experience, her capability to lead and enthusiasm make her an excellent choice. The board, as well as the Chamber’s staff, is very excited to work with her.”
Bacher was most recently general manager at the Hampton Inn in Penn Yan, and has education and experience in Hotel and Resort Management.
