Police: Auburn woman charged with burglary after domestic incidents

An Auburn woman is facing several charges after she allegedly broke into a person’s home and damaged multiple items.

The Auburn Police Department said Caroline J. Clark, of 18 Howard St., was arrested around 2 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7 after two domestic incidents involving the same victim that day.

Police Chief Shawn Butler said during the first incident, Clark is accused of striking an individual numerous times with a closed fist. She then allegedly threw a chair through a glass pane in a front door. Later that evening, Butler said the 30-year-old unlawfully entered the victim’s home and damaged a television, a lamp, and sprayed mustard on the carpet and numerous pieces of clothing.

Police charged Clark with second-degree burglary, a class C felony. She was also charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, which are misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
