Canandaigua man accused of selling crack in Ontario County

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a Canandaigua resident following an investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in Ontario County.

The investigation, which was a joint-effort between the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and the Canandaigua Police Department resulted in John W. Jones, 36, of Canandaigua being charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Jones is accused of selling crack cocaine on multiple occasions while in Canandaigua.

Police say additional charges are pending. He’s currently being held in the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 secured bond.
