Deputies: Unsafe speed in snowy conditions led to Manchester crash

Deputies in Ontario County say a Palmyra woman was injured, but not transported to any local hospital after a crash on snowy roads in Manchester.

The incident took place on State Route 21 when Cheryl I. Antenucci, 60, of Palmyra was traveling south, and skidded across the northbound lane leaving the east side of the highway.

Her vehicle traveled into a ditch and struck a fire hydrant, according to deputies.

The driver refused treatment, but complained of a sore neck and chest. No other injuries were reported, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

They say the accident took place around 7:09 am. The cause of the accident was determined to be unsafe speed given the snowy conditions.

Antenucci was ticketed for speed not prudent.
