Sheriff: Seneca Falls woman charged with grand larceny, identity theft

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce reports that on December 8th at 10:00 am investigators arrested a Seneca Falls woman at the conclusion of a larceny investigation, which involved identity theft.

Kayla M. Voit, 20, of Seneca Falls was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree identity theft, and two counts of petit larceny. Two of the four charges are Class E felonies.

It is alleged that Voit obtained the debit card of an employee at a Town of Varick business and used the credit card information to buy items for herself.

She was arraigned in the Town of Romulus Court on the charges, and committed to the custody of the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bond.

Voit will appear in the Towns of Seneca Falls Court at an undetermined date and time to answer the Identity Theft and petit larceny charges.

Investigators say Voit will appear in the Town of Varick Court for the grad charge at a later date.
