Genevan takes over long time optometry practice in SF

The optometry practice ran by Dr. August Sinicropi for many years has been purchased by Dr. Christopher Main and reopened as Seneca Eye Care.

Main is a Geneva native and a 1998 graduate of Geneva High School. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Rochester in 2002 and his doctoral degree in optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Mass. in 2006.

He worked for Empire Vision in Geneva before buying Sinicropi’s practice in August 2017. He reopened the office at 122 E. Bayard St. in September.

“It’s going very well. I like the personal touch of a private practice where I can spend time with my patients. It’s different than the corporate setting,’’ Main said.

“Dr. Sinicropi had built up a loyal base over the years and many of them have stayed with me,’’ he said.
