Whiskey Hill bridge over Thruway subject to public meeting in Tyre

The Thruway Authority today announced that a public information meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm to discuss the bridge rehabilitation and safety improvement project to the bridge carrying Whiskey Hill Road (County Route 107) over the Thruway in the Town of Waterloo.

The information session is being held at the Town of Tyre Municipal Building.

The project includes deck replacement of the Whiskey Hill Road (County Route 107) Bridge along with other safety related upgrades. Originally built in the 1950s, the bridge was last rehabilitated in 1994. To accommodate the deck replacement, the Whiskey Hill Road Bridge is anticipated to be closed to all traffic during construction between the months of July through November.

The public information session will present information relating to the bridge project, detour routes, and the opportunity to discuss this project with representatives from the New York State Thruway Authority.
