Sheriff: Teen charged in Newark robbery, investigation remains active

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested in connection with a robbery investigation, which took place after an incident at Crosby’s Arrow Mart in Newark.

Deputies say the 15-year-old was charged with second-degree robbery after allegedly entering the business on December 8th, displaying what appeared to be a handgun, demanding the money inside the register.

A sum of money was taken and that person fled on foot, according to deputies, who worked in conjunction with the Newark Police Department on the investigation.

Detectives worked over the next two weeks on the investigation, which led to the arrest of the unidentified 15-year-old.

He was arraigned in Arcadia Town Court and remanded to a juvenile secure facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 secured bond.
