Canandaigua man struck victim during domestic, damaged phone to prevent 911 call

Members of the Canandaigua Police Department arrested a 32-year-old Canandaigua resident following a violent incident.

Justin M. Syron, 32, of Canandaigua is accused of striking a female in the head with his hand and damaging the victim’s cellphone while she attempted to call 911 for help.

The incident took place in front of a child, which resulted in a number of charges.

Syron was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree harassment, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

He was arrested and taken into custody on December 20th at 11:58 am.
