Town officials will have cider and doughnuts on hand for those attending an open house at the new town highway barn on Dublin Road.
The open house will be noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29.
The project has been in the works since March 2014 when the town voted to seek bids for a new highway garage, using specifications prepared by MRB Group. Four bids were received, ranging from $380,000 to $589,000.
The Town Board rejected the four bids received in May 2014. In July 2014, the board considered the purchase of an outer shell structure and having highway department workers do the interior finish work. That idea was rejected, however.
