Cold spike means more accidents on slippery roads

First responders were kept busy on a frigid Thursday afternoon that saw temperatures barely reach double digits for the high.

Members of the Canandaigua Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Emerson and Sand Hill roads. At least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

In Farmington, firefighters and members of Victor-Farmington Ambulance responded to a crash at the intersection of Route 332 and County Road 41.
