Yates Arts Center winter exhibit celebrates diverse talents

Trade the gray skies and biting frost of January for the warmth and sparkle of the Winter Interlude Art Exhibit at the Yates County Arts Center.

Beginning Jan. 2, 2018, the Center ushers in the new year by spotlighting the distinctive talents of four featured regional artists whose vision and style showcase the best in painting, jewelry making, photography, and basket weaving.

Painter Kent Salisbury is a long- time friend of the center and a favorite contributing artist to the Arts Center exhibits and events. In addition to working with paint, which he says is “slow and messy,” he also creates through computer graphics, which he lauds as “quick and precise.” His mixed media works are full of humor and whimsy and beautifully express his appreciation of people around him, their lives and the places they live.
