Newark man possessed controlled substance during stop

State Police arrested a Newark man on drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 14 in Lyons.

Troopers say Gregory C. Naschke, 30, of Newark was charged with speeding, failure to keep right, uninspected vehicle, criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance not in an original container and unlawful possession of marijuana.



He was stopped on Rt. 14 in Lyons for speeding and failing to keep right. He was found to be possessing a controlled substance, and marijuana, according to troopers.

He was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
