Farmington woman airlifted to Strong after Manchester crash

On Thursday around 4:22 pm deputies were called to the scene of a two-car personal injury crash at the intersection of County Road 19 and Freshour Road in Manchester.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office David Hartwell, 32, of Canandaigua was traveling north on Freshour Road when he stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with County Road 19.



He then proceeded through the intersection into the path of a van traveling west on County Road 19, which was being operated by Jason Corteville, 39, of Marion.

A rear passenger in the Hartwell vehicle sustained a head injury and was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. That passenger was identified as Trisha Tiller, of Farmington.

Other involved did not suffer any serious injuries.

Hartwell was issued a traffic ticket for failure to yield the right of way. The intersection was shut down for a short time while deputies investigated the crash.
