Canandaigua PD: Prostitution investigation leads to charges, two arrests

On February 1st the Canandaigua Police Department and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department conducted a joint prostitution investigation.

As a result of the investigation the Canandaigua City Police Department arrested 29-year-old Eric S. Wild, of Alden, for patronizing a prostitute in the third degree and resisting arrest.

Also arrested during the investigation was 39-year-old James R. White, of Lyons for patronizing a prostitute in the third degree

It’s alleged that Wild and White came to Canandaigua for the purpose of having sexual intercourse with a prostitute in exchange for money.

It’s also alleged that during the course of Wild’s arrest he resisted by running from the area and physically resisting when being taken into custody.

Both were taken to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment, according to police.

Additional subjects were also arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department as a result of the joint investigation.

That information will be released through their department at a later date and time.
