Big week of Wayne-Finger Lakes high school basketball ahead

League titles will be on the line almost every night this week across the Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball leagues. We’ll carry some of the action LIVE on FingerLakes1.com and will continue to have the most comprehensive nightly recaps posted every evening. The regular season ends on Valentine’s Day next week but the bulk of important remaining games are this week. Check out the highlights below…

MONDAY NIGHT: Pal-Mac @ Midlakes (girls)

Pal-Mac girls visit the undefeated Midlakes girls. Currently Pal-Mac is 1.5 games behind Midlakes in the Finger Lakes East standings but will host the Screaming Eagles again next Tuesday night as well. Midlakes is currently the only undefeated team remaining in the entire Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball leagues. The game is not scheduled to be streamed live by any local media but Pal-Mac has an active Twitter account (@palmacsports) if you are looking for score updates.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Mynderse @ Wayne (boys)

Mynderse is currently one-game behind Wayne in the Finger Lakes East boys basketball standings after Wayne defeated the Blue Devils in Seneca Falls in January. The rematch is set for Tuesday night, LIVE on FL1 Radio at 7:30 pm with a video replay stream scheduled for 11 pm. Brendan Harrington and Jim Sinicropi will have the call for FL1 Sports.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Lyons @ Clyde-Savannah (boys)

Their first meeting at The Atwood in Lyons was an instant classic. Now, the rematch for Lyons and Clyde-Savannah is set for Thursday night in Clyde with both storied-programs tied atop the Wayne County League standings. Justice Smith and company will take on Clyde-Savannah’s senior laden roster led by Derrick Chance, his brother Marcus Chance and Dru Carnevale. You’ll need a ticket to get into the gymnasium or you can watch the game LIVE on Fingerlakes1.com at 7:30 pm. Jim Sinicropi and Matt Verkey will have the call for FL1 Sports.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Gananda @ Red Creek (girls) & South Seneca @ Bloomfield (girls)

The Gananda Blue Panther girls varsity basketball team is currently tied atop the standings with the Red Creek Lady Rams. Both teams will meet to decide the Wayne County Championship in Red Creek on Friday night. Red Creek evened up their record with Gananda by defeated the Blue Panthers in their own gym early last week. Both teams have one league loss. The game is not scheduled to be streamed live by any local media but check Gananda (@GHSAthletics1) and Red Creek’s (@RCRamPride) Twitter accounts for live score updates.

The South Seneca girls have won 10 games in a row but still sit 1 game behind the Bloomfield Lady Bombers and Braelin Scott in the Finger Lakes West standings. South Seneca won by 22 when these teams last met in Ovid, now Bloomfield will attempt to avenge that loss and secure sole-possession of the league title. As of now, the game is not scheduled to be broadcast live. Check Bloomfield’s (@goBCSbombers) Twitter account for live updates.
