Teachers in local elementary schools looked a little older this week.
In fact, they looked about 100 years old, and it was not from stress.
Dressing up like 100-year-old people was one of many activities going on in various schools throughout Ontario County to mark the 100th day of the school year which — depending on when districts started classes in September and whether or not they factored in a snow day — fell late last week or early this week.
Kids at Naples donned canes, glasses, white wigs, old-fashioned hats and other props in vain attempts to age their young faces. Some teachers also dressed up.
“One hundred days of fourth grade is exhausting for these old folks,” joked teacher Christy Brennan, walking around hunched over, leaning on a cane.
