Police: Auburn woman stole money from local bakery

A 31-year-old Auburn woman is facing two felony charges for allegedly stealing over $1,000 from Camerons Bakery.

Ashley M. Baum, of Auburn was an employee of the business, according to the Auburn Police Department. Deputy Police Chief Roger Anthony said Baum had stolen money on a variety of occasions between November and January as she cashed customers out.

Ashley M. Baum, of 36 Cayuga St. Apt. 1, was an employee of the business, according to the Auburn Police Department. Deputy Police Chief Roger Anthony said Baum had stolen money on a variety of occasions between November and January as she cashed customers out.

Camerons Bakery, he added, believes she stole about $1,800. Baum would take cash from transactions and enter in the records false information on the sale, Anthony said.
