The problem with what Ontario County officials say is one of the more dangerous intersections around may be solved by a roundabout.
And residents and commuters are invited to learn more about it.
The proposed project would convert the existing four-leg, two-way controlled intersection at County Road 23 and McIvor and Fort Hill roads into a roundabout. The northern intersection of County Road 23 and Fort Hill Road would be reconfigured to a T-intersection.
The work, which is proposed to begin in spring 2019 and end that fall, is expected to improve road safety there and reduce the number and severity of crashes, officials said.
County officials said the intersection has experienced a high frequency of crashes when compared to other intersections of this type in the county highway system.
