Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts says a Wolcott woman was arrested on two charges after an incident during an investigation at the Sheriff’s Office.
Cindy A. Kreiger, 49, of Wolcott was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and petit larceny after being caught on camera — stealing case file documentation as part of a fraud investigation.
Investigators say that Kreiger was being interviewed, when she took case file documentation after being told the documents could not be taken. They say video footage showed Krieger taking the items when the officer left the interview room, and placing one of the documents in an envelope.
She was also caught on camera putting another one of the documents down the front of her shirt. It was later discovered by officers while viewing the interview via camera.
She was arrested and released to re-appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
