For some at Seneca Lake Terrace, it’s no longer home sweet home

Louise Gillotti wasn’t ready to leave her Geneva home nine years ago for a place where she would be provided with meals, help with medications and other day-to-day needs.

But her daughter, Estelle Hall, said it was becoming too difficult for her then-86-year-old mother to live on her own.

Then Hall found Seneca Lake Terrace, a senior living residence at 3670 Pre-Emption Road (County Road 6), where Hall’s mother, now 95, was embraced by staff.

“The staff there, they’ve been wonderful,” said Hall. “I can’t complain about the care they give there.”

She said Gillotti learned to love the facility, its residents and the employees. In particular, she enjoyed playing the piano there.
