Felony DWI, AUO charges for Canandaigua driver with revoked license

Deputies report that on Tuesday around 1:32 a.m. a 28-year-old Canandaigua man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on County Road 30 in East Bloomfield.

Benjamin P. Waldman, 28, of Canandaigua was stopped for failing to stay right. He was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana, and to be driving on a revoked license for a DWI charge.



In addition, Waldman was found to be driving while intoxicated, which upgraded the latest charge to felony level. He was also charged with felony aggravated operation of a motor vehicle. Waldman was also arrested on criminal possession of controlled substance charges related to the drugs, as well as driving while ability impaired by drugs.

The charges will be answered in East Bloomfield Town Court.

Deputies say he posted $1,000 bail and was released from the Ontario County Jail.
